Dr. Kelsey Perry
General & Cosmetic Dentist
Dr. Kelsey Perry joined the practice as an associate dentist in 2021. She graduated from College of Charleston with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting. She went on to obtain her Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Perry is very gentle in her treatment and is committed to helping patients maintain a beautiful and healthy smile throughout life. Her emphasis is preventative care, restorative dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Perry is a member of the American Dental Association, Charlotte Dental Society, NC Dental Society, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.
How I Chose Dentistry
I grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, with my parents and three older brothers. Having vacationed in Charleston each year, I quickly fell in love with the city and decided to attend the College of Charleston.
At a young age, I always talked about wanting to become a dentist. I spent many hours during my summer breaks shadowing my family’s dentist and was enamored with the esthetic side of dentistry and helping patients love their smiles. Knowing that I wanted to work in a private practice setting someday, I developed an interest in the business aspects of dentistry.
Given my desire to understand the inner workings of a dental practice, I decided to double major in business administration and accounting. While earning my degree, I also satisfied the science requirements to apply for dental school. After visiting the Medical University of South Carolina and touring their facilities with CAD/CAM technology, I knew the school was a perfect fit for my interest in digital dentistry and my love of Charleston.
After enjoying Charleston for the past nine years, I am excited to head home to Charlotte to begin my career!
Away From the Office
One of my fondest hobbies is golfing. Living with all brothers, it was one of our favorite things to do together. During high school, I was captain of the women’s golf team and continued to enjoy any opportunity to play in Charleston. I appreciate the fact that golf is a sport you can enjoy with friends and family throughout life.
Other loves of mine are Golden Retrievers. My family had goldens growing up, and I quickly learned that I can’t live without them! After my first year of dental school, I adopted the sweetest golden retriever named Rosie. She has been such a great companion throughout dental school. One of my favorite things to do is take her to parks or to the beach. Some of my other hobbies include trying out new restaurants, cooking, and exercising.
I’m excited about the opportunity to practice dentistry and serve our patients well.
